Walmart.com has Xenoblade Chronicles X for $39.88. Not as low as the recent deal at Best Buy for GCU members but better than pretty much other FP deal before that.

Great combat, terrible story (compared to Xenoblade Chronicles).

Cutscene galore in this game. It felt like watching a movie half the time, but overall the combat sections were good.

You never played the original Xenogears or Xenosaga then. The 2nd disk of Xenogears started the "you're playing a movie" trend while the Xenosaga series continued it and it continued into the Xenoblade series from what I've heard

What does Xenoblade have to do with Gears or Saga?

Anyways, I'm waiting for the PC HD texture patch to come out before I even touch this.

Edit: I looked it up: Same creator of the series, and similar themes, but not connected in any way.

so worth it? I played all the xeno games but RPG becoming more difficult to play due to adult life.

This game is a huge time investment. 70-90 hours at least. There's literally 200+ hours of side content. Super fun, though, and one of the most beautiful worlds I've ever explored in a game. It's sort of like Skyrim in that you can have a blast with the game even if you never beat it.

Good price but make sure you're playing on a really big screen. I've got excellent vision and still have a really tough time reading when I play on my 37". On my 50", it's tolerable. I think the devs admitted that they screwed up because it was their first time with HD resolutions but were unable to offer a fix. Other than that, great game.
