Need Help for Canvas printing

syfy 88 14 July 30, 2016 at 11:11 AM
Hi All.

With all these deals on Canon Pixma pro 100 printer, I would like to ask SDers to help me find a reasonable canvas materials for print?

I bought a ready framed "Artists Loft" canvas from Michaels. I removed the canvas wrap but test print seems wrong.

Thanks In Advance!

It isn't easy to print on canvas without a higher end printer.

There are different types of canvas (mainly do do with how the canvas is primed). Can you post an photo of the packaging test print?

You probably need to change some settings so the printer uses extra ink.

All in all printing on canvas yourself may not be economical. Looking briefly, adorama pix and snapfish are less than most and then there are sketchier overseas outfits like artscow. There's another domestic outfit that used to have the best price, but I can't think of the name... they may not be around anymore. Stretching the canvas adds to the cost.
