CCC stopped tracking the price a while ago. Curious what it actually usually sells for. Seems like a good deal no matter what.

I think around last black Friday amazon had this for about $100 lightning deal ???

"Includes 3 high-performance, full spectrum CFL (Compact Flourescent Light) Grow Lights"

I think the new models have led lights

only disadvantage is that you need new CFLs every 3 months. I have the $80 3-pod LED version. lower electricity usage and a 3-year life = less maintenance, though this is a cool deal. I'd buy this if I didn't have mine already.

How much do the replacement CFL's cost roughly?

$13 each - that's $26 a year (replace every 6 months) so you're saving about $100 compared to the LED model, though the LED model will probably cost $50 to $100 to replace, but you have to buy it directly from aerogarden.

Interesting...aerogarden gouges you on the first and 2nd bulb at $15 each and then basically tosses in the 3rd and 4th at $5 each.

6 months, my bad. It's running 16 hours a day so that's like 2,800 hours, which is average expected performance. I got the LED version and I enjoy that it's a little night lite in my kitchen, uses less power, and will work without be worrying about bull replacements for quite a long time. Quite pricey though (this one has 6 pods, the cheapest LED version is $10 difference and has only 3 pods.
