I am on the fence too, My G930 are a nightmare to point I cannot use Logitech's own software. But I do love my G710 & G500s. No issues there.

Logitech made a lot of updates to the G933. Connectivity problems are basically nonexistent

I too had trouble with several G930s. I wanted the Siberia 800, but just couldn't stomach the price. So far the G933 has been great for me (3+mo).

I'm running Windows 10 and this headset has had a few problems. The surround sound was not working at launch and it took Logitech about 7 months to update the drivers to remedy the issue.

My headset has restarted numerous times during games. The mic is not always recognized by curse or other chat clients. I paid $200 for the g933 and ended up buying a g430 since I use the headset mostly for PC gaming. I have not been successful in using the headset mic for telephone calls while gaming (one of the features mentioned in reviews) since the video game I am playing normally is way louder than the caller. Stay away if you do not need wireless. Only reason I stayed with Logitech is because I have big ears and the Logitech Ear pads are the most comfortable for me.

Sounds like they didn't make many improvements from the 930 then. I'll be staying far away, the 930 was the worst piece of hardware I've ever owned for the money, and some of these issues were exactly what made it an infuriating piece of garbage.

Does battery have to be charged in order to use with phone via 3.5 mm jack?

I have a love/hate relationship with my G930. The first one I had would short out when I swung the mic boom up to mute it after I'd had it for about 6 months. Their support was easy to work with and arrange a replacement for me. Since I've gotten that one overall it's been working great, but whenever I have the logitech software installed it takes like 2-3 minutes for my sound devices to open up when I want to switch from my headphones to the speakers. I feel like the headphones should possibly just have a button to do this function. Actually now that I'm talking about it I should probably be able to setup a G key that does exactly that. Maybe I need to do some research on that.... I do also have the issue where it will occasionally totally drop and reconnect, I've never heard it but my friends say it puts a really horrible click noise into the chat when it reconnects. Probably happens about once per 3 hours of use. I can't stomach $125 for another headset as much as I'd like to give this a shot.

After those crucial updates there really are no issues with the G933 but the earpads they come with are terrible. Paid quite a bit extra for ZMF pads. At this price I wouldn't hesitate to get them.

Figures I just got this like 2 week ago from Amazon at 150. Doesn't look like my new credit card has price protection and don't think amazon does price matches anymore.

BTW to those worried about issues, I haven't run into any in the two weeks i've owned the product so far. Sometimes even use them in my bedroom which is the next room over and I can still listen to music on them just fine. Only nitpick I've had about them is they slide off my head unless i position them in one particular way, I had seen this in reviews but I figured since I had a big head it would be ok, but it was actually my friend with a small head that they stay on better with. Could be a deal breaker if you are getting this for VR, but for regular gaming it shouldn't be a deal breaker.
