Stores should start discounting this saw because it is being replaced
by a new model with a "glide" feature instead of the classic "slide".
The new saw is much better but is also priced @ $649. If you have
the room in your shop and don't mind excessive dust this is a slick deal.
I do own this 12" saw and a 10" Makita. I do recommend it with above caveats.

Edit: now $383

Seriously comparing garbage at harbor freight with bosch?
I'm guessing this guy eats all his food off the dollar menu, cause food is food and gets his clothes from goodwill, cause clothes is clothes.
If I remember correctly, Bosch sliders are pretty highly regarded, though.

I own the Bosch 12" sliding miter with the robot arms, that thing is worth every penny. Not a big fan of the tube slider though (the design in general not just the Bosch). I wish the robot arms one would go on sale so my brother would pull the trigger on it and stop using mine.

I am sure you can find a hand saw for almost nothing in your garage already...

Just used a harbor freight compound miter with slide on a small job and it didn't impress me, the one I used had a little bit of slop so the cuts weren't as clean as I'd of liked, it will also cut into itself if you don't watch how you set it up.

I own this and have owned or used extensively about every major competitor and thus is my favorite, mostly because the controls beat the others in convenience and ergonomics. This is an awesome saw and this price is great. Bosch of course has an even better version of this now but this one is still pretty much top of the line.
