Saw at my local Home Depot zip code 91790 for $1160 (Was $2899 good through 08/31) Cheapest counter depth french door refrigerator with thru the door dispenser I've seen yet. Not stainless but at this price I don't think I would mind slate.

Model Number: GYE22KMHES
SKU: 1001-106-935

If you don't mind having your refrigerator stick out almost a foot from your counter then get the standard depth for more storage space. This is counter depth so 22-23-cuft is pretty much the biggest you can get.

My GE Adora refrigerator is the worst I have ever owned. Made in Mexico. Temp control is awful, even replaced motherboard once. Ice maker is POS...ice melts then sticks together in big clumps. Won't ever buy GE again.

I'm siding with this review as that is what I experienced too with my GE. Also the cube/crushed actuator stopped working few months in; The lever to stop ice doesn't work well and hence too much ice was produced to the point that it broken the shelf above the ice box. I had to replace the control board recently (the repair guy showed the new board vs old board which you can see many design fixes were made).

I have the side by side version of this in slate. fridge is OK, my only comment is the doors seal very tightly so u really have to yank on them to open, and push them hard to close

Which fridge is the best in the mainstream brands? Looking to buy a SS large capacity one and the other appliances in kitchen are GE. Not looking to go GE. Wanting to branch out into Samsung but have horrible reviews of Sammy's appliances line. No complains yet with Sammy's W/D personally.
