$99.99

Thread Details

I was walking in the electronics department and discovered that Meijer is clearing out their Philips HUE White and Color Ambience starter kits that include (3) color bulbs and the new version hub. These retail for $199.99 with practically NO discounts besides the usual holidays. The pricing is $99.99 for the starter kits and 25% off ALL other HUE products that they have in stock. Some locations have a very large selection of home automation products, while others have very little! These Meijer stores are only in select Midwest states, so go get em' while they still have some left! Also, the Canary hub is on sale for $99.99 as well, and that is usually $199.99 and I also saw the Google OnHub router for 30% off !! Not sure what they got going on but these are some seriously great deals! Good luck!

If it red and yellow shelf stickers, it's on special for the week. Blue and yellow, a markdown for a few weeks. Both are clearly marked. If an orange price sticker is on the box, then it is being clearanced. How were they labeled so I know if I can wait till Friday if they have extra discounts this week. Repped.

Meijer stores are like Walmart and Target if it is clearance - individual managers determine how quickly to discount items (I've talked to assistant store managers putting on clearance stickers and adjusting the discount as they go, and also seen employees with pregenerated clearance sticker sheets from corporate), though usually items are put on discount at roughly the same time. It also pays to scan items at one store that are out of stock but at a lower price in a different store - I've had the item come up at the lower price many times. The box stickers are the most likely to be out of date and higher than the actual price, which is why it pays to check.

Also check your mPerks (all you need is a mobile phone and email to set up an account). They have rewards, both by department and total purchases. The total purchase reward has been running about $5 per $125-175 recently, it is highly targeted. They also typically run a discount every other Friday-Saturday based on mPerks or their mCard, so you can stack another 5-15% on that. It's sort of like SYWR, except with real discounts with groceries at solid prices for the rewards if nothing else grabs your fancy. You typically have a month to spend the reward, which directly goes off the next purchase you use it on (you enter your phone number at the checkout screen). They have the usual restrictions, no using the credit on alcohol, stanmps, gift cards, etc. but double and triple dipping is fine - as in mPerks, mCard, one manufacturer coupon per item, and rewards.

Excellent reply! The Hue stuff is NOT clearance and does not have the usual orage clearance sticker on any of that stuff, and that goes for everything that I have listed in this post. The tags are red & yellow ( or white) and it looks to be a weekly deal if that is truly what that means. It had NO blue on the tag so I doubt it's going to last very long... I nabbed 4 from 3 different stores because they seemed to be hit hard at 2 of my closest stores, so I drove to my 3rd closest and that's where i scored the last 3 they had there. Also, I am on top of that Mperks stuff too! Wink I have (4) accounts so that I can run multiple transactions and "double dip" on the Mperks savings. So, I got a total of $31 in cash back on future purchases as well, on top of the 10% off Employee discount for the KILLER deal. I am glad you did mention these things though, because I meant to mention the Mperks deals as well. Good luck

The only reason they are selling that cheap is because Best Buy just had them for $125 not too long ago, and that was the absolute cheapest I have ever seen them before this deal. So once those dry up on Ebay, you will be paying $175-200 a pop for these sets, cause they hardly ever go on sale. This is an absolute steal at this price and if you don't need the hub then you can sell that for at least $25-35 on Ebay, getting the bulbs for dirt cheap! Smilie

I ran into this last night @ around 11PM. I just happened to stroll by electronics and did a double take when I seen $99 for the 3x Color Kit. I grabbed the last one @ Lake Lansing Meijer.

Only thing that sucks is these are a19 bulbs and my can lights all use br30. so basically I got 5 of them, but the lighitng looks weird. may go back and just return them all unless anyone has any bright ideas on how I can replace all the a19 with br30 instead.

I was able to get two today. But really need the can bulbs. Hmmm, they don't even make a combo kit of those anymore

Crazy timing as I had been looking for this stuff for the new house.

Just picked up 3 Hue Starter Kits, 1 Google Onhub, and 1 Canary in Belleville Michigan.
