These are made in Japan... Same as white Eneloops...only $3.99 for 2 pack. Must buy 4.

So, 8 batteries for $16. Nice deal. Goes well with the $2.99 AAA deal posted earlier today.

Eh 8 of these are $13-something last week. Also, all 8 of mine from last week arrived damaged. Newegg said it was damaged during shipping and gave me store credit but they def were not damaged during shipping. Looked like some sort of factory problem where all 8 had dents around the positive end. One had the wrapper torn a little. They were all from the same production date. I have had no problems with the fujitsus I get off of ebay from shopgl and fastenergy, they typically cost about the same as the newegg deals when in stock.

Do you have a link to the $13 deal? Was it from Newegg also?

expired. Besides, all of those 4 packs at newegg are probably from the same lot (ie: production date and are probably damaged).

if you had to choose one, do you go with Fujitsu or Eneelops? Also, are the black versions from both companies better?

The Fujitsu are made in the factory that used to make Eneloops before Panasonic bought them and moved some of their production to China. These Fujitsu are probably better than the China produced Eneloops that are now being sold (not all).

Fujitsu black.

Fujitsu cause they're better.

black because they've got the capacity.

know that black will recharge fewer times about 500 vs 1000 for these batteries.

you decide.

what about a good smart charger for them?what do you recommend? Im leaning toward the XTAR VC4 for durability, USB plug and lack of an annoying fan.

don't know much about those things.

I use a lacrosse bc9000 and couldn't be happier.

the USB plug sounds awesome though.

anything reputable should do.

Do the chargers go on sale often? Are chargers universal? I just set an alert for rechargeable batteries because I came into a bunch of XBox 360 controllers that I'll be using to show my games at expos, etc.

I'm not totally savvy to the quality of rechargeable batteries or their chargers. Any advice would be much appreciated!
