Other places have it for the same price.

Is it the $150 gift card that's attracting people ?

I believe the others are camera body only. This one includes the lens + the gift card.

I can observe no other differences between a North American and International Version. Right?

Why does this have so much more attention than the Adorama deal? They look identical to me?

How does this compare to the Sony A6000/A6300?

The Panasonic has a smaller sensor size compare to the Sony. The Sony will produce better image quality and also a better dynamic range and auto focus than the Panasonic. If anyone tries to tell you otherwise please don't listen to them. I am being honest with you.

If you're doing strictly photography, choose the A6000. If you care about video, go with the GX8.

Thanks, fair enough. Not sure why this is considered a deal for almost a $1000 when an A6000 can be had for half the price.

The lens included with this is much better than the 16-50mm lens included on most a6000 bundles. On top of that, this camera is much better at video, has a fully articulating touch screen, more lens options, and doesn't have Sony's awful menu layout.

Because this is a different camera than the A6000, and for this specific camera it is a good deal - also, both the GX8 and the lens in this deal are weather sealed, which may be important to some people.

Longer answer - the A6000 is an excellent camera. Comparing just the specs and basic functions of the body, particularly if you are mainly photo and not movie focused, it is better than the GX8. Problem is that you are in the Sony lens system, which just isn't that good - there are a couple of reasonably priced E-mount options (the 35 and 50mm 1.8) and some great, but very expensive and physically large lenses designed for the A7-series. But generally, unless you are planning to using adapted lenses (which most people are/should not be doing, at least for primary use), the lenses are giving back at least part of the advantage of the A6000's sensor.
