It is a good deal, but it could be better with a 960m. Since we're in August anyway, you might as well wait to see if better configs come out for cheaper due to back to school.
950m can come with either ddr3 (common, but bad) or gddr5 (rare but much better for gaming). If they don't say gddr5 in the specs, assume you're getting ddr3.

base on reviews i've seen, the ddr3 version probably has 66 to 75% the frame rates as the gddr5 version. maxwell is better than older architectures but there's still a frame rate penalty to be paid.

if you google 860m vs 850m you'll find discussions and reviews that talk about the difference in frame rates for using ddr3 and gddr5. the 950m and 960m are just rebadges with slightly higher speeds, and these all use the same base maxwell 640 core gpu with just slight variations in clock speeds as well as the variations in the video memory type used.
wtf guys..

We had 6700hq + 960m for ~$800 for the last 3 weeks on various models...

This is Not FP material..

I think it's this one from amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-Ide...%2C+Win+10

Can this be used for lite gaming?

If you can wait until Black Friday - yes absolutely. There should be quite a few deals better than this during that time. I'd wager that you could get a similarly spec'd system on a Black Friday deal for at least $100 less, if not even better.

Seems like a good deal, don't want to miss it. But is Adorama reliable? Has anyone had good experience with them?

And I really fear the GTX 950m crashing due to driver conflicts.
