Don't buy this anywhere except for Best Buy with their Geek Squad 2 year protection.

friend we play Halo with almost every night got one of these... while she says it feels really nice, the audio on the stupid thing stops working constantly. she has to pull out the headset and plug it back in all the time. it's really a stupid problem to have, considering the price of this damn thing.

for those interested... no, it didn't make her instantly better at games Wink she is already pretty good, so the skill is there, even with that... this ain't going to make you MLG.

Costco has em for 124$ everyday. Picked up a open box one from Amazon for 99. Wasn't to impressed and sold it a few weeks later.

I picked up a lightly used 2014 xbox one with gen 1 controller and power brick for $100 on Craigslist few weeks ago. I can't justify spending so much on a controller other than for the audio jack port which can be added to an old controller for 10-25. what's the catch on these? status symbol?

If you just want a new controller, wait for the bluetooth ones to drop in price or go on sale, the bang for buck there is you should be able to connect them to other devices (such as headsets, or even pc and cell phone / tablets).

If you dont know the benefits of the controller (meaning need / desire cause you to seek it out) you probably wont care about many of the features.

So let me get this, she says it feels really nice, right? But she has to pull it out because it keeps disconnected ...and it doesn't make her good at it even she got the best one?

They're for competitive play and customization. The trigger locks and longer sticks help out a lot in shooters, the D-Pad disc is great for fighters, the paddles are good for pretty much any game. It won't be a super useful controller for casual gamers but it's awesome for anyone that takes games more seriously.

Absolutely could not agree more. I have used my geek squad protection twice already for this product with a broken bumper. This is a common issue.

Because these controllers are built like $50 ones...plastic innards. Prone to have bad shoulder buttons, stick drift, and bad dpads. Oh and bad "hair" triggers.

I'd say $80 is the most I'd pay

Xboners are dumb enough to pay this much for a controller, so microsoft will sell it to them for this much. Helps them make up for the fact that the xbone sold like a pile of dog feces and the price had to be dropped substantially.

Or from Costco as it will have the lifetime returns.. If your Costco stocks these that is.
