Well for disclaim, I got it for free to help them review the product and used it with my 20000mAh power bank 2A output since Pokemon Go launched without any issue. I saw people using the regular Apple lighting cable while playing Pokemon, but was only able to maintain the same % of battery level, as the game is known for draining battery.

Does data transfer work with this cable? That is what decides whether you can do QuickCharge or not. The data pins are used to negotiate the charge voltage, and if supported by the device it'll go in to 9V charge mode.

I think this is a really interesting product, but I'm not sold on the design of the multi-purpose cable. Maybe my mind would change if I had a chance to actually test them. From reading the reviews on Amazon, it seems like a high quality build.

Yes data transfer works, at least on Apple products. The body of the cable is actually really nice and the wide design makes it not so easy to tangle

NO! I wish I'd known that before I gave reps to this deal! (JK, LOL!) I hate this addicting, battery draining, phone melting game! I don't just need cables, I need a new phone . . . I'm tired of having to restart the app. Looking at the Samsung Note 7 deals out there . . . (I don't want to melt my old phone while farming the 230K more XP I need to get to level 28!)

I totally hear you, I got to level 28 last week and has been playing it casually due to the new updates and the shutdown of Pokevision (RIPFrownFrownFrown) My phone has been burning every time I play it, and a good way I found is buying a car air vent mount holder and place my phone in front of the ac (home or car), it really helps with the melting problem!
