eurooptic.com has all Tikka T3 models on clearance starting at $399. Shipping is $25 on all firearms. I spot checked a few different models and most seem to be $25-50 below other online retailers including shipping.

The best deals are on the higher priced models, such as the Forest, Hunter, Laminated, and Lite Stainless. The deal margin seems to be lowest on the basic Lite Synthetic model, and I even saw some configurations of this model cheaper on other sites.

Reddit thread where I found the deal. [reddit.com]

There is a rep (OP) from eurooptic.com active in the reddit thread or there was earlier today. He stated that they would be adding more models as they unloaded the truck and had almost 3,200 pieces. The rep alluded to possible further discounts later in the week or early next week on certain calibers and models. Rep also stated to call if you did not get $25 shipping in check out.

Seems to be a good selection, including many different calibers and models. Tikka just released the T3x, which is basically an incremental update to the T3. I assume this is the reason for the clearance on the T3. The differences in the T3 and T3x are the T3x adds:
- Steel recoil Lug
- Metal bolt shroud
- Changeable grip
- Proper recoil pad
- Free Floated barrel on the synthetic stock
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Like the guy below says, slickguns is good site to check. It doesn't have the notifications that SD does though. It also has a lot of dealer posting, not unlike some of the front page stuff here.

That subreddit is very heavy on AR-15 deals. That's not a bad thing, but I like a variety of firearms.

I like slickguns. I usually drop by it once a day just see what's posted on their "front page". It also has a really great search feature for guns, though I'm not sure the criteria for the online gun shops it includes.

Honestly, I feel like SD is still the best of the deal sites for firearms. If you have a particular one you are looking for set up a notification for it, you might get lucky. SD is somewhat heavy on conceal and carry weapons, followed by AR-15s.

Hit up the OP in the subreddit I posted. It appears they are a rep for eurooptic.com and may can locate one for you or tell you whether they are expecting one on the truck. Like I said in the OP, the rep stated they were receiving 3200 rifles today and would be updating the site as the received those. May show up tomorrow or the next day on the site.

Tikkas are amazingly nice rifles for the money, even at MSRP. If you are looking for a bolt gun I wouldnt hesitate.

I am very tempted to get a Forest model in .30-06. Very tempting.

Yeah, I did a Google image search of the Forest earlier today. The stock on those models looks very nice, almost like the ones on the Sako 85.

The Laminated Stainless for $50 more looks nice too. The laminated stock should stand up to weather and abuse a little better than standard wood stocks, or so I've heard.

I picked up a deal on a .30-06 T3 Hunter about 4 years ago(used but never fired), after doing a bunch of research for an affordable but decent bolt gun for hunting. I had been looking for a while, and preferred .308 but at the time the $550 I paid was a good deal. I didn't have much time before I needed it, so .30-06 it was. I couldn't find a better option in the same budget unless used, and I never got to the good deals fast enough. I am happy I got it though, after researching more I found that it herited lots of good stuff from Sako, but not the price. Sub MOA no problem at all, I am very happy with it. Nice wood, free floated, solid but not too heavy, very smooth yet tightly toleranced bolt, good ergonomics, no complaints!

Tikka has a great reputation for excellent quality. That said, my tried and true Rem 700 BDL's (308 &7Mag) from the early 80's are at the top of my heap.

I suspect they (and many others) are feeling the pressure from the Ruger American line- which 'feels' like a cheap rifle, and is priced like a cheap rifle, but shoots like an expensive one.

I don't think the Ruger American, or the Savage rifles are the reason for the discount on the T3. As I stated in the OP, the T3x was recently released and these are clearance/liquidation prices. The T3 has it's own following if you poke around the web and on various forums.

Like the Ruger American, it has a few hangups that folks rail about. Specifically, the polymer (plastic) pieces used, the synthetic stock, and the one size ejection port. I think Ruger uses a similar ejection port, where they same size opening is used for both long and short action with a bolt stop for the short actions.

One thing the Tikka has going for it is the Sako barrel and they all seem to be very accurate.

I can't get over the trigger on the Ruger and Savage. I don't care for that take up pre-trigger piece on them.

This isn't a good deal, they just advertise MSRP and show this as huge discount.

Most of these are $478 on Buds already. So sadly this isn't a deal at all.
