Has anybody received their headlamps?
I just called (888) 851-2304 and the CSR told me the delay was because their vendor shipped them the wrong item (80 Lumen instead of the 95 lumen we purchased) and that it should be two more weeks until they get the 95 Lumen ones in.
She offed me the 80 lumens for a 20% discount.

Love this light. Give it out to my cabling students. It has two rings of a silicone type material on the inside of the band that keeps it in place on a hard hat. Great battery life.

These products are currently $14.99 at Amazon and have a 4.4 out of 5 star review average from 217 people: https://www.amazon.com/Energizer%...D+Headlamp.

At $7.79, I think I might grab a pair. Thank you for posting!

I like that it has the red LEDs and the price. I don't like that you have to cycle through 3 modes of white light in order to get to the red mode, which defeats one of the purposes of the red light (e.g. maintain night vision). Great price but I'm passing in favor of other lights that aren't that much more expensive, like the PrincetonTec ($15-18), was backpacker magazine editor's choice) with these specs:
Quote :
PrincetonTec Sync. Five modes include low and high flood beams, spot beam, red LED and dual beam. Power dial provides direct access to any mode. Water-resistant housing.

Light output: 90 lumens
Run time (High): 75 hours
Run time (Low): 120 hours
Max distance: 190'
Light modes: 5
Batteries: 3 AAA
Weight: 2.9 oz.

I have this. It's really pretty good. The only inconvenient thing is having to press the button so many times to get the function you want. Everything else is as you would expect - not super comfortable, but it's not meant for wearing 6 hours straight. IIRC, it takes 3 AAA and the batteries are in the housing with the LEDs, which is on a hinge that flips down from the headband/base portion.

Picked up a pair. I own a slightly older 3xAAA Energizer headlamp and have been very impressed.

I'm not a runner, mountain biker or involved in S&R. Once I get to a certain amount of functional light output, total run time starts to become a more compelling performance metric. 95 lumens on high and 30 hours on low seems like a nice balance. Thanks and TU.

I have this and red is the first mode that comes up.
