I don't mean to thread crap, but I am compelled to give my opinion of this bag. I bought this to replace a 10 year old Targus bag that was still completely intact after all these years. I saw this same deal and thought I guess its time for an upgrade.... Let me say, I absolutely HATE this bag! I wanted to like it. I tried to like it, but I can't. There are hardly any individual compartments to secure small things. In fact, there aren't any! The liner that separates the 2 large compartments is super flimsy and has a pocket sewn onto it, so if you put anything in there it just sags down and every gets snagged on it. Most infuriating of all is that is doesn't stand on its own!!! Every time I put it down, it falls forward. I just got back from a trip to CA and this will be the last voyage this bag sees. I'm going back to my decade old Targus and I couldn't be happier!
I was going to buy this but because of your insight I'll pass.
Wow. That is so informative! How much do you get paid to post these comments?

Bought at this price in April, great bag. It has a flap at the bottom that holds the main compartment open which is very nice. Eliminates the sag of heavy stuff.

I also went from a Targus bag to a Swiss Gear bag, not this one, but one similar. It also falls forward — really annoying. If my old Targus bag weren't so ratty, I would have kept it. It was a cheap model, but it was very practical.

This looks like an ordinary backpack, but can hold a lot of things.

http://slickdeals.net/share/android_app/fp/50005 This targus backpack I bought in 2011 has travelled with me to Vietnam and back 4 times, summers of 2012,2014-2016, it has almost failed me but has held up quite unbelievably strong. This past month I went to Thailand Bangkok with it and the front flap finally ripped gradually open, I was afraid that I may have to toss it but my wife told me she could fix it, so bought a sewing kit inside of a grocery store there and she worked on it, by hand for 30 mins and it looked good as the first time I brought it over to Vietnam(as a carry-on bag). I am actually still proud of the slickdeal purchase of this Targus laptop bag till this day for some reason.

IF this Swiss bag can handle being stuffed to hell as a carry-on bag for my future flights, and manage to stuff and handle a Canon 6D + a normal laptop with a couple of clothes, and last nearly 5 years of random use, then I'm all for it, but seeing people say it falls forward makes me think of how well thought out the bottom layer of the targus bag has for keeping the bag upright and protected from repeated dropping, setting it down to the ground. The Targus bag was only $11 dollars after taxes, during that deal.

I've had two Swiss gear back packs. Yes they don't have THAT many small compartments, but it was never an issue for me. Yes they fall forward, again no big deal to me.
My first bag lasted almost 8 years, almost every day, heavy use. Every day on the on the El in Chicago for three years, tons of flights. The bag is actually still intact, just the stitching opened up on the straps. My current bag is almost 6 years, holding up well, no more train but more flights. I love these things, they have a ton of space and I've never had any damage to my electronics.

By brand I would recommend, but I can't say about this particular bag. I would check it out at best buy and see what you think. I do remember buying their top of the line bags, maybe that's why I've had such positive experiences.
