The .22 cal of this rifle dropped to its lowest price according to CamelCamelCamel. A majority of reviews are positive. Might pick one up for me!

This is an awesome air rifle! It is a crosman, but the higher quality version like a lexus to a toyota. .22 cal at 950fps is perfect for anything from a chipmunk to a racoon or groundhog. If you do go after larger game/pests like a racoon or turkey, please do use heavier weight .22 pellets that will do more damage and greater chance of a kill shot. They sell specific "jumbo" or "hollow point" pellets on amazon for hunting.

This is not a toy to give to a kid, it can do major damage to humans... although the break barrel is a nice safety mechanism to prevent children from operating.

I pulled trigger and was able to use $10 discover credit received from a few days ago. Also got a $0.99 "BD credit" which I'm not sure what is. Came to $89!

Do you pump a lever on this to charge it, or does it use compressed gas cylinders like whippets?

I trap coons and need something quiet I can use for head shots. Will this do it in one shot at close range? I want it to be humane. I'm talking, I aim between the eyes at 10 feet. Does this put them down every time or is there a chance I would not get the same penetration as a 22 short out of a rifle?

This is a break-barrel. Single pump of the barrel itself (near the end of the stock)

The barrel hinges like the old style shotguns. This compresses a nitrogen chamber like a storm door cylinder. The trigger releases the energy stored. You can plink all day for just the cost of the pellets. It's more work than other styles but more satisfying and a lot cheaper.

You're looking at less the half the foot pounds of energy that you'd get from a .22 and a longer time for a follow up shot should one be necessary. I'd think it's more humane to stick with a .22.

Looks like this is normally $130 according to caramelcaramelcaramel.

Trying to keep rabbits and deer out of the yard with a small sting (do not want to actually hurt them) and use to protect dog if coyotes/foxes come around. Hoping to make it too annoying for them to live in the garden and instead choose to move down the street where there are plenty of other natural food sources along with people happy to see the wildlife. Can anyone comment on this use? Is it loud enough to alarm the neighbors?

It looks like some type of $0.99 coupon was added to my order after adding this and 500 crossman pellets to my order. I'm going to use this to take care of a pest problem.
