Thank you for putting the graphics solution in the title. It's one of the most important and overlooked of specs for computers on SD.

Hey Slickdealers ! What is so bad about this one ? My cousin needs one 14" laptop asap and this one fits the bill unless I am missing something critical.
We were initially with the Yoga 710 at Best Buy for $750. But this one has an i7 and is $150 cheaper.
What am I missing ?

There is virtually no performance difference between a i7 6500u and a i5 6300u. Get a HQ version if you want to see a difference.

If anything the 6500u is missing things like vPro, SIPP, and trusted execution.

You'll also find haters for every brand, but I've had 2 thinkpads (work laptops, always on, heavy use) crap out on me in the last 2 years.

I personally have not had issues with Lenovo, but I have only purchased one cheap laptop from them. People on Slickdeals will ALWAYS find something wrong, and say there is a better deal Wink

In this case I agree you can get a better laptop for a similar price. I too am looking for a 14" quality laptop, but I am willing to wait a little while for a better deal..

That's pretty funny because that's all anyone ever talks about on SD laptop threads.

Overlooked on SD it is not.

FYI, Yoga 710 is 15.6'' touch 2-1. Also, you can get a $150 coupon through Best Buy's "Student Discount" even though you don't need to have an .EDU address.
So price would be the same outside of the $20GC

Between this (80Q3002WUS) and i5559-4682SLV (~$500) which one is better?

i5559-4682SLV has a DVD drive (CPU i5-6200U score 3939)
80Q3002WUS NO DVD drive (CPU i6-6500U score 4326)

Looks like a solid deal. If you want it to last 10 years the. Buy a business class laptop (Latitude, Satellite, ThinkPad, etc.)

Thanks for your response. My cousin wanted a lighter laptop and found the 15.6" too big and heavy. The 14" Yoga 710 at Best Buy was $899 - $150 coupon. So still about $164 more (including taxes). My Discover Card doubles the manufactures warranty. So I am hopeful, this lasts two years and may last up to 5 Smilie

Yeah ... positively better deals can be had if time is on your side, but my cousin needed one yesterday Smilie
