Budget Phone around $200ish

Good afternoon Slick Deals,

I am thinking of upgrading to the Moto X Pure and was wondering what the best phone option would be around the $250 tops price point? I currently have a Blackberry Z10 so I think that I have a lot of choices.

Thanks for your help!

The Moto X Pure Edition is nearly a year old. That makes it a poor choice. Support cycle is only 18-24 months for most phones.

Why do conservative politicians oppose conservation?
Have you ever stopped to think the long-term GOP immigration policy might be to make the United States of America a less desirable place to live than Mexico?

The new Moto G4 (or Amazon version to save a bit more) and the Nexus 5X is often on sale in this range.

I really just need a phone that works fairly well and is somewhat new. I don't need a "flagship" per say but want something that is awesome overall. I am deciding between the moto nexus 6, moto x pure, and samsung galaxy tab 3. thoughts on a better phone? I have looked at the moto g4 but the reviews have been a mixed bag.

It isn't in your best interest to buy phones that are already 1-2 years old (certainly not new / full price). The MFGs just don't support them long enough.

The Nexus 5X and 6P are fine choices, the Nexus 6 is not at this point in time.

Seriously? the Tab 3? You want to use 3 year old, 7" tablet as a phone? Nono

If the Moto X Pure appeals, I'd wait a few months for a new version.

Why not simply get the current generation of Moto G? Unlocked base model is $199 and it's one of the best phones at that price point on the market.

I was thinking about that too but having read some of the reviews I am a bit skeptical still. I guess I should just trust and worst case scenario I can always return it at my cost. I like some of the aspects of the phone and some of the others.

Did you happen to know if amazon warehouse allows returns on cellphones. I think I have read conflicting information.

Thanks for the help and repped!!!!

I don't think you can go wrong with the 5X. Or wait a few more weeks/a month and the new Nexus phones are rumored to be announced meaning the 6P will probably drop in price.

Yeah...i am trying to think of all the features I truly need and don't think i need a barometer and thermometer and all that other stuff. I will wait for a deal on something and pounce on it.

Nexus phones do typically enjoy support / updates for longer than most phones.

If a Nexus appeals, be aware that the version of the 5x that usually shows up in deals here is the international version which lacks verizon cdma support.
