Ordered from dell recently and the tv came broken. Dell hasn't responded to 6 email/online requests to pick up and replace. Seem to be trying to stick it to me.

I'm in the same boat. OLED looks beautiful but the input lag just kills it

so how much will this affect video games? i really only play halo 5, star wars battlefront and rock band. will this high of a input lag (53.5ms according to rtings.com) make these games unplayable?

I think it might, although it's hard for you to really know without experiencing it firsthand.

I'd say under 40 ms for input lag is acceptable, but any higher than that and I think you'll have trouble playing games that require fast response times, like first person shooters, Rock Band, and so on.

Hope it helps.

Unplayable? Probably not. But you may find yourself being a little too slow to react and possibly getting a little frustrated.

Shit, I just pulled the trigger on a KS8000 for $1250 today. I wonder if I should cancel and get this. How bad really is 53.5ms for games?

thanks for the replies. i definitely don't play as many video games as i used to and am more of a casual player but i don't want to spend this much on a tv if the experience playing these few games will not be good. i have had my eye on this OLED tv for a while waiting to get down to around this price but now i'm second guessing whether i should pull the trigger or not because of the input lag. looking on rtings.com it appears input lag affects video games the most yet they still give this TV an 8.8 overall for video games.

as far as the price of this goes, it looks like you can get $159 back in Dell Advantage rewards and then i can get another ~32 through shop and earn on s w a g b u c k s to help with the cost of this TV. decisions, decisions. anyone think this TV will drop to below $1500 later this year?
