Very impressed with my h100i gtx. Dead silent on quiet mode and really good temps in push pull configuration with a core i7 4770k. It is abit higher in price than other 240mm Coolers but u do get some added features.

Refurb EVO has 90 day warranty. New one comes with 2 years... I'd probably just pay for a new one to get 8 times the warranty.

Warranty? Nothing can go wrong except for the fan. New cooler is $10 more. Warranty only covers "manufacturing defects", so when your fan dies after 1 year of use, it's not because of manufacturing defect. Plus, you will have to pay shipping to send it back for warranty service. So the price difference between a new one and shipping to return for warranty is more than the $15 this cost.

I brought one.

you can debate about the reliability of refurb HD and MB, but getting a PC cooler refurb/used is a no brainer. The only thing that can fail is the fan. If you are buying this, you are probably building your own PC. Then you must know there are protection from on your MB - fan alarm, CPU overtemperature alarm, auto shutdown, etc.

Fans are cheap. I still have way too many from FAR deals of yesteryear. I see fans get clogged with dust and get noisy, but how often do you see them fail?! Do you expect to run your PC for more than 5 years before upgrading?

From decades of PC experience, I believe you are more at risk of the heat sink coming loose or cheap heatsink compound (or too much) causing overheat issue over time then the CPU fan failing.

TLDR: Most motherboards have temperature alarm/shutdown programs to protect you from a failing fan, the only thing that can fail in a cooler.
