Amazon.com offers Amazon Fresh Members: 5 Bananas for $0.01 (limit is two, valid today only). Shipping is free for orders 40+. Thanks madmax569

Note, Amazon Fresh does offer a free 30-day Trial in select markets (Seattle, Southern California, Northern California, Philadelphia, Boston, and New York). In addition, they are offering $25 off your first purchase w/ promo code 25FRESHOFFER, more info here (may not work in all locations).

Editor's Notes & Price Research

Written by qwikwit

  • If you are in a market where this service is available then the free trial is interesting to try out. They deliver products in sturdy and large bags with ice (if necessary) and in places like California where you need to bring your own bags to the grocery store, these could easily be repurposed. -qwikwit
  • Don't have Amazon Prime? Students can get a free 6-Month Amazon Prime trial with free 2-day shipping, unlimited music, unlimited video streaming & more.
  • If you're not a student, there's also a free 1-Month Amazon Prime trial available.

I am on a free trial for amazon fresh (no way I could justify the cost otherwise). I noticed that there was a banana sale (lol) where you could get a bunch of bananas for 1 cent (limit 2 bunches). Hopefully there are a lot of people with bananas in their deal alerts.

Submitted my order for some tasty bananas.

You must be a member of Amazon Fresh to get this offer. No idea if this YMMV for Nor Cal.

Offer expires 8/4/2016 at 11:59 p.m. PT, or while supplies last. Quantity limit of 2 per customer order. Offer is subject to the minimum order amount in your delivery area.

EDIT: You must spend $40 for free shipping (i.e. add to an order you are already placing)

Combine with $25 off first $40 purchase

If you leave your house you will probably have to interact with other humans and they might even talk to you.
I usually go to my supermarket and just eat the banana while I shop....that's my story...

I am not sure it is all that great. $300 per year is a lot ($200 if you already have prime) to get groceries delivered. However, the delivery was top notch (nice bags, 3 hour delivery window)

What is the point of buying groceries online? There are supermarkets everywhere.
