I think this is a good deal for Galaxy Note 5. I think this is the best I have seen this year for this phone.

Just $1 with 2 year contract.

I came to VZW with my own S5. I didn't realize that upgrading with a contract would make my plan more expensive by $20/mo... basically, $480 more than if I stay out of contract. They get you one way or another.

Exactly. I'm on the old more everything plan. Access fee was $40 if I had a phone in contract or $15 if I had a phone on device payment.

Agreed in some instances it's worth it to be in contract in others it's not. I pay something like $15 access fee per line I have on my phone out of contract (and in device payment) or $40 per line in contract/was never on device payment. In contract I'd pay $25 more per month + I'd have to get another phone once contract runs out to put my plan on device payment to get access fee to be $15.

So breakdown in contract is;
$40 per month = $600 for phone + get a dummy phone for $100 after 2 years to bring price down.

Out of contract - $36 per month = $864 for phone. Unless I find some other promotions to get the phone cheaper. Only thing I can think of is when/if they do a bogo offer.

I don't see why people hate on the contract so much.

This has been sold out for quite some time. I spoke to a representative and they are supposed to let me know when they have them in stock again but it has been over a month of waiting so far.
