Read in the reviews that these are the Vision ZD2102 door/window sensors, which are compatible with Piper. In for two, and I combined with a micro USB cable for $1.29, since that's more useful to me than an iPhone case. http://www.monoprice.com/product?...1&format=2

The Sphero BB-8 App Enabled Droid sounds so cool and interesting. But, I'm deeply skeptical about the part where it says "create and view holographic recordings". It just seems way too good to be true.

I think you've found an iron-clad, free return enabling issue right there. Or it really delivers, and you end up with a holographic recorder/projector for $100...which sounds like a bargain.

Yeah, I mean it sounds so awesome in theory. Who wouldn't love to make their own holograms?! But, the fact is we just don't have that kind of technology yet. For example, I've seen holograms being used in concerts and stuff (like the Michael Jackson hologram at the Billboard Music Awards) but never in a product-to-consumer type of setting. I don't know if I have the balls to pull the trigger on this since dealing with some online companies like Monoprice can become a huge hassle. I think I'm just gonna play it safe and pass. Let me know if you decide to try your luck and keep me posted on what happens.

Have you used these before? Do they work pretty well? I'm in the process of deciding what kind of security items to install on a house, and am wanting something like this (where I just get notified by text/app that something has been opened when I'm away). Was considering something like Simplisafe but hated the idea of paying $25 a month just for notifications. This sounds like exactly the kind of thing I was looking for.

I have a Piper NV that I really love. I've connected it to my Amazon Echo so I can arm/disarm it by just shouting at Alexa when I go out the door/return, and I can also arm/disarm it from my phone and view the camera from my phone. I've connected my Piper to one set of door/window sensors that came with it, and have been waiting for a good deal on more sets. I haven't tried this brand before, but the Piper website says the brand is a compatible accessory, and $20 is a good deal.

Yes but I'm not interested in their monitoring, I really just wanted the notifications to my phone. Then I can decide what to do, check the camera and see what's going on, etc (especially since I have pets). Something like what this does is more what I was looking for.
