Ha, my cousin just got back from the tmo store with a brand new s7 edge as Im reading this. Anyone have any experience with tmo in this kind of situation? Will they do any adjustment/refund if he goes to the store tomorrow and talks to them? He is planning to add a line for his mom too. Hahaha, he has the best timing.

you have to add a new line to get the bogo. so say you have a 4 lines in your family plan, to do the deal you need to get another line so 5 lines total. you are now paying for that additional line for 24 months. If a extra line costs $15 that's $360 over 2 years. If $30 a extra line that's double at $720 before any taxes. Don't get me wrong the deal is good IF you have someone that wants to join your plan but if you're gonna have a extra line for that free phone, doesn't seem worthwhile.

How is that BS? Why would you expect them to give you a free phone with just one month of service? Also AT&T does 30 months. People were abusing the system paying off the ETF under the old model. It's a worthwhile trade off for a free phone. You can pay full price too.

Your phones will be locked into this promo for the next two years if you want to see all the credits. It's fine if you intend to stay with T-Mobile and satisfy with the Galaxy for the next two years. Galaxy tends to drop fast though, they're worth half of their retail the following year, and the S7 is already five months old.

I can't sell the phones? Why would TM care if I sell the phone as long as the new line is active.

You can sell it, but profit isn't even that great. So I would recommend it to people who intends to use it.

Two S7 edge pricing would be $779 + (FREE other device) plus the taxes on two devices you pay upfront. So lets say $880 for everything in two years, so $440 each.

If you were to flip them, the edge goes for $550-650 each depending where you sell them, that's before the fees. Is that measly profit worth it and the prices will continue to trend down.

Downside is they are using it like a contract. To get the phone free you have to be in a contract for 24 months. That means you will be stuck with that phone for 24 months and stuck on Tmobile service for 24 months for the device to be free, otherwise you get slammed with the remaining cost.

The way it worked before is you got your discount immediately. You could therefore sell the phone when you wanted and upgrade. You could pay your phones off up front immediately. I never finance my phone preferring to pay cash or credit up front 100%, these guys are bastards. And I sell it by selling my previous phone for $300-$450 on Craigslist.

Bill credits are crap. This is some AT&T nonsense. Guess too many abused the normal rebates. Sigh.

Marty, you're not thinking 4th dimensionally again!

Buy 2 S7 edges, get two free years of netflix and 2 gear fit 2 watches.

The most common netflix plan goes up to $10/month this month. So 2 free years saves you $240 dollars. So your S7 edge goes from $779 to $539 if you're already paying for netflix essentially. So two S7 edges for $539 plus 2 gear fit 2 watches. right?

Now I understand this won't work for everyone because of the add new line technicality. But, if you're on a 4 line plan like me, only using 3 lines, you take advantage of this and cancel the "old" dummy line, and nothing changes with your plan.

I currently have a note 4 and was planning to get a note 7. But given his deal, I'll gladly upgrade both my wife's and my phone and lose the stylus, never use it anyways. I wasn't planning to use the Retina scan anyways, I don't use the fingerprint scanner either.

Also, the gear fit 2 connects by either bt or wifi, so it's not the cellular independent device. BUT, that means you don't have to pay an additional $5 per watch to use it either.

I'm going over to Costco for everything.
