Man. I sure love me some Windows 10 Mobile but I can't say there's that much of a software difference between my $11.99 Lumia 640 and the Lumia 650. I'll wait till it gets cheaper.

edit: I meant to say Lumia 950, not 650... Whoops.

Technically I guess at&T should unlock as you are purchasing it at full retail. Not 100% sure.

About $250 overpriced given the sparse ecosystem.

A failed phone before it even released. I wouldn't buy this unless it was under $100.

Just so you understand that this is the 950 and not the 650. If you place a high value on excellent camera images, this is your phone. It's on par with the current leader, Galaxy 7, for fine detail image quality and some reviews say it's a step up from the Galaxy 7. This phone (along with the Galaxy 7) leaves the iPhone 6 Plus in the dust. One of my phones is the Lumia 640 and there is no better sub $100. (heck even sub $150) phone for excellent call quality, battery life, and camera (better than my iPhone 5S). If you are app obsessed, this is not your phone, but if call quality, stellar image quality, and a gorgeous screen tick your need, this $300 phone is a very good choice.

While I agree with all this, having a 640 myself and a 929/Icon, I would also suggest for most people to see whether they might be better off w a Moto G4 and a $100 point n shoot if good pics are a priority.

I know its not ideal, but having been using my 640 and Moto G3 side by side, it is nice to have the various apps.

Of course you can just go to the websites for most of these but the one big issue I've encountered is web pages not rendering corrrectly under WP8.

After a while you just get tired of dealing with it even if everything else works great.

Fixed in W10 perhaps?

I say this as someone who started with windows phone back in the W7 days of the windows challenge and picked up a Samsung Focus S with its whopping(at the time) 4.3" screen Smilie

I agree 100%nod

I was about to buy a Samsung s7 active... but I think I will get the 950 or the xl. I am a long time windows phone user. I have had many iphones and adroid phones. I am running android on my daily driver now... But Windows phone just does the things right that I care about. Apps is not one of them... I am not sure what people need... But hey, I don't do facebook or any of the other drone/sheep trends. I just good hardware pared with a super functional OS. I was messing with my friends iphone helping here with some stuff... then on my android. I would take android over ios any day, but man All I could think was the task is so much easier on my windows phones.

Ok, there are a few apps I will keep my android phones around for... like amazon prime now. lol Smilie

Not worth it sadly if it doesn't have Pokemon Go.

I kid I kid. I've wanted to try out WP for fun but just never gotten around to it.

My apps on the 640 give me what I need: WhatsApp, Instagram, FB, Skype (used to connect with a few customers overseas), Adobe Photoshop Express (love it), Netflix, and Yelp.
Since I do a lot of photography, iPhone is out for me since everything must be run through iTunes..ugg. With Windows or Android, my workflow is as follows: pull images from camera (usually with sd card, sometimes with usb), process my RAW files (images), save to file, then right click on the whole batch or single image, boom..into the phone fast. It works the same with jpeg images too.

Yes it can be unlocked in 2-3 days but don't use active at&t sim on sim before getting unlocked otherwise they will ask to use it for 6 months to unlock it.

I have unlocked 6-7 different phones from at&t no contract phones.

Use this URL and select No for "Are you an AT&T wireless customer?" then provide IMEI and email that's it. You will get unlock code with 3-4 days.
