Our local Bed Bath and Beyond said they'd take 20% off of this machine, so it would be $420. I didn't even have the coupon with me. I went to look at in in person and when I left the clerk asked me if I found everything.

I said, "yes, I just didn't like the price". Then asked if they'd accept the 20% coupon on a Breville espresso machine. She said yes, and tried to get me to buy one on the spot.

Edit: Sorry about my poor math. 20% off of $600 reduces the price to $480, not $420. Glad I didn't post it as a deal or I would have been blasted.

Same here - never had an issue with them not taking the coupon for anything. They also basically have a lifetime return policy, so definitely get this machine there.

We LOVE ours. Paid 300 for it refurbed from woot a couple years ago. Looks brand spanking new to me. It easily saves money over Starbucks. We used it for more than a year and the latte is easily better than Starbucks. At 3.25 a pop and let's say 300 cups a year. That's like a thousand bucks in Starbucks drinks. We buy good beans from whole foods at 10 dollars a pound and this lasts weeks at a time. It isn't as good now as they got rid of the roaster. But still beats most we've tried as far as freshness goes.

Fantastic machine. Just got it from overstock recently for around $462 - $530 with a 12% coupon, no tax though. BBB never honored my coupons when I brought them in, claimed the exception list excuse (Breville is printed in the exceptions list right on the coupon).

I have one of those super espresso makers and while happy with it, it now seems to leak. Might need to invest in something new. Trying to figure out if something like this will satisfy me.

My wife loves the Vienna beans. we used to get them roasted on the spot. Now they have the packaged version and the fresher dispenser version. The crema is better on the fresh beans. Experiment with grind size and tamping. Both would affect your shot quality. Any roasted beans sitting out for more than two weeks after roasting would be considered stale. That includes the Starbucks beans and those may have been on the shelf for months. And they tend to be oily which will eventually gum up the built in grinder. Vienna is med roast so it's not very oily.

You need to replace the gasket. These are consumable and many places online like wholelattelove for instance sell replacements. I usually get 1-3 years per gasket. They are less than $10 and usually take 10 minutes to install.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have this model so I don't think it applies but I appreciate your efforts.
