Performance wise this one is more powerful as this one has Core i7 6500U compared to the Core i5-6200U in the Lenovo Model in best Buy. Another point I can think of is that Lenovo one is made of metal and Carbon Composite whereas Lenovo model is mostly made of aluminium. I have seen in some reviews that because of the Carbon composite desig, Lenvo laptops become light but sometime have difficulty in heat dissipation, specially in load and because of that the CPU speed throttles down regularly.

On the other hand, Aluminium construct helps the generated heat to dissipate quickly, hence proving better thermals.

Is this a better overall value than the Dell deals going on at Bestbuy? Specifically how does this stack up vs the $499 i5 256GB SSD 8GB RAM and the $650 512G SSD 12GB RAM?

My thoughts are that I'm pretty surprised this deal doesn't have more hype as it seems like a damn good deal for the i7 upgrade. Am I missing something?

People are more biased towards Dell, brand preference I guess. But which model of Dell you are talking about, coming with 512GB SSD?

Apples to oranages comparison.....the dells are much lighter and smaller (13.3") and also flip like a tablet. This is a traditional laptop
