Awesome deal on this hose. Fits Festool vacuums and tools among others. Lowest price ever by a fair margin. I will say it's a softer material than the Festool hose, but you could buy 6 of these for the price of one Festool 3.5 meter hose.

Good deal! Thanks. I have an older Fein and from the Q&A sounds like it will work.

do Americans even know what a meter (or metre) is?

I recently bought a combination of hose sizes from the big box stores but none match this Bosch. Just pulled the trigger on this as it is the best price I've ever seen it. If it works as well as I think I probably will return the cheaper grade hoses.

Since I'm doing a remodel on our kitchen and bathrooms and just put together a DIY dust cyclone with the Oneida dust separator and 14-gal poly container this should definitely help out.

Many thanks OP for the post!

Sadly I would say that many do not. However those of us that know how to do actual work and build the country (not office workers) know what a meter is. I am actually looking at converting to metric in the shop. I prefer it as it does make things easier however it's still hard for me to visualize things in metric ie 1500mm I have no idea what that is in real life unless I convert it. And for measurements in meters I multiply by 3 then add a little just to get an idea so I can compare it.

Good deal on a good hose as well. I would like a longer one though many wouldn't have a need for a hose twice that length and it would have more internal friction.

Good to know. This is still at least $3 cheaper after tax if you have prime or buying enough to get the free shipping.

Really dudeConfusedConfused You obviously have no actual construction experience if you believe metric is used by people "building the country". Worked on large projects all over the US and there's no metric on rail projects, building projects, energy projects, mines, etc. If I were working on something small scale designed by a foreign company, then metric might come into play.

In addition, Any body who went to college will know how long a meter is about. Construction workers probably too since it's pretty typical to know a yard stick and meter stick....

Thanks for your reply based very little in reality and more based on a pretentious attitude Wink

*edit* More on topic..didn't know hose extensions existed. I SO want a 5 Meter (Can someone please convert this into feet?! i work in an office and dont know!!!!!!) hose to make vacuuming my house easy.

In fact I have done construction for many years however there is much more than just construction. look to the high tech and science sector and see what they use and you would be surprised how much stuff is in metric that does get used in aspects of construction. Many products are measured in the spec sheet in metric and you have to convert to imperial. Even lots of machining is done in metric in more industries. But for anyone who works in an industry that you measure anything you should also know the metric system.

"For use with any vacuum cleaner that has standard 2-1/4" hose opening"

..... just checked ridgid and they all use 2.5". What brands use 2.25?

Also full size vacs from craftsman, shop vac, and vacmaster ALL use 2.5". This size seems like it might be obscure.
