Thread Details

Staples via Google Express has Softsoap hand soap for $1.00 after $0.75 off coupon . This could be combined with some of the Groupon Google Express deals going around for a pretty sweet deal.
Shipping is free with $15 in your cart.

Never buy "anti-bacterial" soap. Thought everyone knew this by now.

short explanation: soap is antibacterial in itself. Anti-bacterial advertised soaps are overkill and contain an ingredient which potentially adds to the increasing problem of bacterial resistance. Meaning, antibiotics become ineffective. And to which we don't yet have new antibiotics that will be able to overcome this. Could get real scary as time goes on should these resistances continue to become more widespread.

Btw, I'm not an overly health-neurotic type; Don't hate/fear GMO's, don't have any qualms about BHT use in products, etc. This however, does scare me. EEK!

That's great, but it's not reason to TD. It is an item that some people buy and I am posting a deal on it. I do know about anti-bac soap but that isn't really the point here. It's a deal, I posted it, and it's Slickdeals, nuff said. I don't think people should be taking out credit cards but you don't see me threadcrapping on every CC post.

I don't see how this is a deal. These are a buck at any Dollar Store.

I've also seen it free after rebate at Menards. Plus, in order to get shipping free you have to have $15. Staples, along with kohls and bed bath and beyond, at Google Express is generally a bad deal. Those stores routinely have coupons that you cannot use on GE.

I didn't vote on this deal. In fact, I made it a point *not* to give it 'thumbs down' as that just creates hostility, particularly when it's given for reasons other than the quality of the discount savings. Just stated my case and moved on with no further intention of belaboring it, only wanting to get the information out there for those who still may be ignorant on the subject..

You've taken the stance that something is worthy of a thread-posting as long as it's a good deal regardless of any other considerations. I disagree with that "deal in a vacuum" type mentality but your conscience, your call.

Actually, yes, it is. "Not a good product."

Dangerous product, actually.
