Not a bad price for nice sounding headphones. I prefer AE type instead of OE type which can get exhausting and sweaty over time.

Are the cups replaceable on these? They look like fake leather type that gets damaged by sweat over time.

Cups come off on the SoundLink II which are basically just the wireless version of these so most likely.

I like Bose but I can tell you from experience that these headphones are made from cheap material. I bought them before and return back to BestBuy. If you are going to buy Bose go with the higher end ones.

I have the original one for three years, picked up in Target Clearance for $44 and have zero complaints about durability. They're still going strong and haven't bought replacement pads. These are by far the most comfortable headphones in my collection of m50x, hd598, Sony 770bn.

These headphones are cheaply made. They start disintegrating the day you receive them.

Could this be the beginning of a golden age of 3.5mm equipped consumer headphone sales with new flagship smartphones coming out without plugs?

I have the previous version before the visual refresh. According to a few reviews they are nearly identical in terms of performance.

It is subjective, but i think Bose hit it out of the park in terms of sound quality and comfort. They didn't care much much about style as you can see from the pictures.

I think the soundtrue were my Bose gateway drug.
