This deal has come through a couple times times here. The one posted a few weeks ago was for the platinum package, which is expired. I just bought the gold package for my Lexus. I've used their ceramic pads before and am VERY happy. They leave waaaay less brake dust than the OEM pads. I made my purchase at Advance Auto Parts [advanceautoparts.com]online. This will likely work just fine for the rears if you need them too

I used code
$40 Off $100+ w/ promo code TRT41

If your total is shy of $100 use,
30% Off (up to $50) w/ promo code TRT30

Carquest Wearever Brake Rotor - Front (need to by 2 of them)
Carquest Wearever Gold Brake Pads

Product Subtotal: $100.97
Discounts: -$40.00 CODE
Shipping Charges: $0.00
Tax: $5.40
Total: $66.37

minus -15 rebate
Get up to a $30 Rebate ($15 per axle) with purchase of Carquest Wearever Gold Brake Pads and (2) two Carquest Wearever Rotors. Limit 2.
(Purchases must be on same ticket)

=$52

Price depends on the make/model of your car. (In other words, if you're buying for a Maserati, Ferarri, Mclaren, or Boeing 747 , your total probably won't be close to the $52 I got.)
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Rebate is the form of an in-store only gift card

Another opinion:
Always a good idea to shop around, particular cars will sometimes have odd pricing for some parts.

However, in my experience with many cars and many, many purchases over the last 10 years or so, Advance Auto has prices that are comparable or better than any competitor, most of the time. In addition, they will price match any competitor, and you can still use the coupon and SpeedPerks. Recent example, paid $10 at AA for a water pump that was $50 everywhere else. If the coupons and speedperks are used correctly, discounts approach 75% and the prices at Advance are pretty much the lowest anywhere.
======================================
Opinion from another member (based on previous purchases from AAP):

There is a reason that Advanced Auto has these $40 off $100 deals all the time. Their prices are so much higher than the competition, these discounts just bring them down to what you can already find elsewhere online. This is just an FYI to still shop around...

It's only a $15 rebate if you're only buying the front brakes, right? $15 per axle... (I'm still buying a set anyways. I need some front brakes and even with only $15 rebate I like the price)

Anybody ever used these on an HHR? This is my faithful beater, but this model is notorious for warping rotors every year or less. :-/

Who cares? I bought it used with 98k on it over two years ago for measly $4200. It has every option, including moon roof, heated leather seats. I have put about 60k miles on it... haven't had to do anything but change the brakes, and change the oil every 5k miles or so. My other cars are a c5 z06 and a Sonata limited turbo, both paid off years ago. This ugly thing had served me well, beyond expectations.

Usually a two year warranty depending on place of purchase, so change 'em out like sparkplugs. Once I learn how to do brakes, its a wrap! I can stop calling my shade tree mechanic for small stuff like this.

I have done it twice now... can knock it out in under an hour without air tools.

No golds for the front of my car, only rear, bummer, missed out on the platinum rebate before.
I have a BOA card that is giving 20% back on Advance Auto purchases though.
Could make the deal a little sweeter for some.

Looks like its max $10 back on the BOA card.
Shop Advance Auto Parts and earn 20% cash back on your purchase with a $10.00 cash back maximum! Offer not valid on third-party purchases. Offer valid one time only. Offer expires 8/18/2016. Payment must be made on or before offer expiration date.

I know from experience that aap rebates are store gift cards, only valid in stores (ie. Can't use codes).

Any word of any fine print saying it's actual cash, and not just a store use gift card?
