This has a noticeably faster Core i3 but the Lenovo has a touch display. For $50 more you essentially need to decide if a touch screen is something you really need and if you're willing to give up some processor performance.

Is that mention anywhere in the post? So No.

Along with that, in this one, the Processor can be upgraded with any 35W TDP Skylake Desktop CPU. IMO this one is better deal because in a Desktop computer, well touchscreen use is not comfortable like a Laptop.

I'm just starting an online MBA and looking for a computer for school work, not much more. This would be good enough for what I'm doing, right? Any input is appreciated...

May I ask, why you are not opting for a Laptop?

That's a great question, I've got an old 8 year old laptop that I can still use if I have to. The program I am in is an online program, so I figured I could stay put at a desktop. My son is doing an online preschool(as well as a normal class). I thought a desktop would be better for him.

I have the 23-q120 (last year's model) with touch-display and never find myself using it. If the general components (i.e. fan and HDD) of this never Pavilion are identical, the most annoying part of the 23-q120 is the fan noise. It runs pretty rough even on low speeds - I can hear rattling sounds when it's running; and opening it up, I can't determine what the rattly noise is. You can get a Core i5 laptop with 8GB RAM that will perform roughly the same as this desktop-class i3 equipped all-in-one and get the portability for the same money. If you want a large monitor for more serious work, you can easily pick-up a 22" monitor for under $90 these days that you can hook up to the laptop. You also can't add a graphics card in this computer, so you might as well get a laptop.
