I got a mini-itx version. it's very good card, not as loud and not as hot as I thought in the first place. Best card if you only play ESport game such as Dota/LoL/CS:GO

not a bad deal but a RX 460 should leave this in the dust for $99 starting tomorrow.

I thought the same thing about the supposed $150 470, but we've seen how that turned out. My guess is that the 460 will debut as Strix or some other aftermarket OC version for $130-160 and the $100 suggested MSRP is all a budget builders dream. However, patience is key so those looking for a cheap card today won't mind the R7 360 (same card I currently use in my super budget gaming PC) if they haven't scrounged up the $100 for a GTX 950, but if you can find the 750ti for $70-80 that card overclocks better adding a slight edge over the 360.

This card will play all current games fine, so long as you manage your settings.

I'm tempted to get this for my non-gaming secondary PC (since it's stuck with an HD3450).

Much better card for another $20 or so.

More powerful, newer tech, well reviewed. Picked one up for wife's computer. Runs WoW on 7-8.

Quite a bit smaller, too.

If I were looking for an NVidia for that box, I'd be more inclined to get

for two reasons - Even smaller, and no additional power lead required.

Is a full Windows reinstall still necessary to move from one Video Card brand to the other? That would be the main reason I don't want to do it.

The better processor clock in the Asus is worth the extra $3 and MIR. ASUS has more connection and better cooling, too. There's a reason for the extra power plug! This replaced an old GTX 260 with 2 plugs, this needs one.

Without rebate, I would go with Zotac as well. It's a great budget-card either way!

No way. They are all plug-n-play these days. Upgrade at will. I'm guessing you're using Windows 10? The new windows only monitors HD and MOBO.

No Windows reinstall necessary. But you should make sure to fully uninstall gpu drivers with a program such as Display Driver Uninstaller before putting the new card in.

Yeah, its a buyers market with the new cards coming out, there have been a fair amount of deals lately. Unless you are on a strict budget, I would wait and find something better in the $80-150 range.

My old Phenom II system has been bouncing back and forth for years. I've reinstalled Windows, but never because of the video cards...

Just make sure you uninstall the old drivers before installing the new ones. Although I do that even if I'm changing a card to one from the same family.
