OP, you're incorrect.

You need to choose the one shipped & sold by Amazon.com, and it will reflect $599. Says it ships in 2-3 weeks.

indeed, you have to select the "other sellers" from Amazon.com and it shows 599, which is a great price for the drone+gimbal bundle.

I'm looking into drones also, but read the reviews first. Until they fix customer support or you are able to replace all broken parts yourself... You might want to look elsewhere.

I really expected this to either sell out change in price, but I am pretty shocked this is still at $599.

I have a P1 and I am trying to figure out if this is a good upgrade for the price or should I just go for a gimbal (~$150) and continue with my P1?

My biggest concern is that I know the P1 can take a beating. I have dropped it out of the sky from 30+ feet, hit the side of my house, and smashed into trees... even the pool once (not me and I was already running for it). Maybe I was lucky when learning to fly, but I was curious if the 3DR is as "durable"?

The biggest issue I have with the P1 is the GoPro (3 or 4 silver) WiFi kills the remote and the darn thing loses connection to the remote.

Price is closeout - 3DR has failed in the consumer quad biz and made too many of them last Fall. They have not produced any since and shuttered their factory and laid off the vast majority of workers - closed offices and support center also.
Those considering it would be wise to understand that even at $600 you have to add a $400 camera - so it's $1,000 for a machine which doesn't have the functionality nor image quality of a Phantom 3 4k ($599).

But, hey, as long as you 100% know what you are buying...then be my guest!
BTW, this $599 price has been available for a long time - sometimes on and off, but now probably for good since they still have a large pile they have to get rid of and they don't sell well at higher prices.

If you are going to upgrade go with the P3S or P3 4K - you can await a deal on the P3S for about $450.

Sell your P1 (I got almost $200 for my P1 kit) or keep it for messing around with.

You will be very sorry if you buy a Solo.

Thank you!

This is pretty much how I felt, but I have a buddy with a P3 Advanced and he was losing controller connection (Lightbridge version), so I figured we might be in a bad area and another controller may have fared better.

Also, I figured if these are coming down then either:

1. A new gen is coming out
2. Less people are buying due to the new regulations going up all over the place.
