Requested again and again, here, at last, is the Thomas Bright and Early
Board Book Box Set. All four of the enormously popular Thomas board
books are here: Go, Train, Go!; Stop, Train, Stop!; A Crack in the Track!; and
Blue Train, Green Train. Boxed together in a nifty little “lunchbox,” these
four books are a feast for Thomas’ smallest fans.…

We got this for our son a while ago, and I was always confused by the crack in the track story. It seemed to have more plot holes than usual, even for a kids book.

Well, turns out these are condensed versions of the stories, as we found the full copy of crack in the track this weekend. There are several different story lines that are cut out completely in this condensed version and help explain things like why the toad in the road caused such a fuss on the bus. Anyways, just thought I would share in case anyone else was as confused by that book as I was! Lol!

Harold even makes an appearance! Mind=blown. Makes me wonder if those other three books in the set have more going on than they let on. Especially the "Stop train stop" book. Why did Thomas decide to go temporarily crazy?? What is the back story? Did Sir Topham Hatt punish him?? So many questions!!! Smilie

I got this last time it was on SD...it was a lot smaller than I expected. I think the normal price *should* be around $7. That said, my 2year old really does love the books (agree with the plot holes. he doesn't mind). The books are a little tough to get out of the box for toddler hands. I'd recommend if your kid is in love with Thomas.

Thomas just decides sometimes.

I want an explanation on why all the train drivers and engineers just allow these trains to do whatever they want. In the books and on shows, you see actual humans standing around when Thomas has great decisions like:

"Go as fast as possible through town" or "I'll wander on these abandoned tracks" or "Waiting for people as a passenger train was getting annoying".
