I just ordered a new card yesterday because I couldn't find any of the RX series in stock anywhere so I got a R7 370. Same price as this. Really thinking I should return it and get this. It's noticeably better

benchmarks

Always helpful to have some benchmarks to look at for these deals, thanks.

The review is for the 4Gb version of this GPU. Will that make much difference?

I'm looking for something cheap-ish to replace my pair of long-in-the-tooth Crossfired Radeon 6870s. The Windows 10 update somehow killed Crossfire on my machine by disabling my second card; despite rooting through several forums I can't seem to find any setting in the AMD video driver that turns it back on---and yes, I did update the driver. Rather than waste more time on solving that problem I'm thinking it might be more gratifying to just get some new cards.

I would get two of these but Newegg is doing the "limit 1" thing....

The look comparable in benchmarks, from what I can see: http://www.tomshardware.com/revie...707-4.html

Then again, I'm assuming an R7 370 is the same as a 270, but OEM. I'm too lazy to verify, but you can check.

UPDATE: Scratch that. The new card (RX 460) should be much better going forward with new games based on DX12: http://www.tomshardware.com/revie...707-7.html

Why only 128-Bit? Brand new GPU but only has 128-Bit?

If you are using it for games that do not invoke DX12 there is not much difference, still RX 460 it is a bit ahead.
On the other hand for games using DX12, RX 460 will be ahead by 50-75%

The GTX 950 is around $100 after MIR and it's a better card.

Several of the reviews I have read for the 460 shows that it is very close, performance wise to the 750ti.

I was pretty excited for the release of the 460, but after reading a plethora of reviews and benchmark comparisons I decided to spring for a GTX950. Was a little irritated that one of their main selling points was the $99 price point. Except for the powercolor one they are all in the $120+ price range. I came to the conclusion that if I was going to spend that much money I might as well just get a better performing card for the money. I am not doing much, if any DX12 gaming. I mostly play SWTOR, and will look to play Fallout 4 in the future.

All in all, should be a nice upgrade from my Radeon HD3850. Big Grin
