How do they determine low quality reviews? Not sure why product exchange reviews are considered inherently bad. It's not like they have to return the product if they give it a negative review.

Awesome. I needed something like this for my Raspberry Pi, but I pulled the trigger on an earlier deal for a 2.5A charger with 2 USB ports. It's coming on Wednesday. If the charger doesn't provide enough power for the Pi and external USB-powered Seagate HDD I'm trying to run when it arrives on Wednesday, I think I want to go the hub route and purchase this instead. Can anyone say if this USB hub will still be on sale this Wednesday, based on past Amazon promotions? Or, should I just purchase it now, just in case?

Thank you in advance for the help.

Wow, great price for 4 port USB 3.0 with a 4A-5V power supply!

Can choose Super Slow shipping if you have prime to get a $1 e-credit... also coupon code works more than once. ;-)

Giving a product for free will more likely result in a bias review of said product then not.

In a world where it pays to fake reviews on amazon big money and fake spots is the best
tool we have.to weed our the abusers of the review system.so when a item gets bad grade
it simply means YOU SHOULD NOT TRUST THE REVIEWS or review score.

The Pi doesn't use usb3.0, so you can buy usb2.0 hubs for cheap now. I got a 3 new 10port hubs for $1 each on ebay because nobody was bidding.

I been using this hub for 1.5 years now for my ext flash drives. Pretty good, but I never needed to use the external power feature. The LED is super bright, so had to put tape over it.

Does this unit, or the plug, get hot like other USB 3.0 Hubs? THanks

Figured out a use for this. My main computer is 2.0, but T100 2 in 1 has a single 3.0 port. So with this I can do transfers between drives, etc. at 3.0 rate.

Searched and deals on powered 3.0 hubs are few and far between here. There was a FAR hub a while back but rebates aargh.

Many of the positive reviews are fake or biased and virtually all of the reviews are for another product, but I pulled the trigger anyway as $7 seems worth it when combined with Amazon's customer service. They've never let me down.

Edit:
Unsurprisingly, this thing is crap. Devices disconnect intermittently when plugging in and unplugging other devices to and from other ports. At least Amazon has good customer service. I'm going to stay away from Unitek in the future.

fake reviews or not, powered usb3 hub for 7 bucks is slick. I'm sure it will be fine or it goes back to amazon, no worries at all...

Bought one as well. I don't know how I survived with just 2 USB 3.0 ports on my desktop.
