Brand new seller on Amazon, probably fishing for personal information.
Even if it is a legitimate pricing error, there is almost 0 chance of these items shipping.

Thanks for the headsup anyways!

The missing zero is you.

All this fake overseas seller did was list under many of the "best sellers" in numerous home categories so as to maximize the amount of "orders" for phishing information.

They don't even have and couldn't care less...about actually filling any orders.

Thank you for informing of the watch scam last time. Amazon really needs to monitor when a new seller posts a bunch of items, if we Slickdealers can, I think Amazon should be able to too.

NP. The problem though is...at this exact moment the seller has yet to do anything "wrong". Amazon usually won't act without some sort of proof/after the fact.

The whole scam is to collect personal data which is given to them with in~ 30 minutes of the initial order placement. It then takes two seconds for them to copy/paste/store that data. The order then can be cancelled, voided anytime afterwards but they obviously still have the copied data (which is all they care about). The person/group fully knows it's a disposable seller account so they couldn't care less when it is banned in the next few days.

In this case, the only "solution" is a proactive consumer since it's highly unlikely Amazon, eBay, etc will ban all new accounts (which would also do nothing for hacked account, anyway).

Some seem to naively think just because say, a reputable place like Best Buy might have had a legit price mistake a month ago....now every "price mistake" from every new Amazon/eBay seller is automatically legit and done unintentionally......which is a very foolish assumption.

Yes, I've seen them posted a lot lately. Yes, when major B&M stores have price mistakes, its worth a shot. I think sometimes the same can apply if it is a real price mistake and the item is fulfilled by Amazon, I've had plenty of price mistakes shipped before the seller noticed, only to receive an email asking for me to return the items. One time a seller told me to return the items or pay for them LOL.

Yes, there are still some valid price mistakes...but in cases like this: (odd personal name format, new seller, overseas shipped and sold, everything in their inventory is "mispriced", etc)......there is no question as to them attempting a scam.

i don't know if it really is on its way, but it does say the first of couple orders got shipped, the others were cancelled. Paid with gift card so i don't think my CC info was exposed.

on hindsight, i agree with the comments, i shall be try to be more careful next time, it's not always buy now think later Smilie

we shall see, i had been using CCC to track this item and that's how i found out.
