Just stopped by my local SAMs club and saw this on sale. Entry level kamado grill. Comes with 2 level of grills and also cover. Wheels and frame included as well. Original price 599.

Similar to pit boss.

Another SAMs had it for 421.81 so ymmv on clearance pricing

I picked mine up at the Sam season-ending clearance last year on October 19th for $299+tax. I had to do quite a bit of searching and got lucky with the last one at a store about 30 minutes away.

While $100 is nothing to sneeze at, I would ask myself if I would get $100 worth of use/enjoyment out of the grill, knowing that you have it in hand and not have to hope that you get extremely lucky to grab one of the clearance ones several months from now. Even at $399, it's a great deal and you'll be very pleased with the quality, customer service of vision, and the value when compared with other kamado grills.

One thing of note is that if you plan on doing any smoking or baking, you will want to pick up some sort of a heat deflector set up, which will run you in the ballpark of $50 for the vision one or less/more depending on what you choose to do.

I ended up going for the Kamado Joe divide and conquer system, which fits the Vision B perfectly. When all was said and done, I've probably spend an additional $200 to get the grill outfitted as I wanted. At $399, that would put you back up to the original sale price, and still a couple hundred dollars cheaper than a similar sized kamado joe at the costco roadshow prices. So, as you can see, it's a tremendous deal, even at $399.

I've hovered in the past too often and lost out in getting anything at all since other people beat me too it when it dropped. $100 is nothing to sneeze at but at least I am still better off than my boss who has a green egg and I'm at 1/2 from a similar size kamado jr.

The one time I did see a great deal it was a floor model and had lots of cracks so I jumped. If I see it fall I can always do a price adjustment with Sams Club

Where did you buy the Kamado Joe Divide and Conquer? Looks like they are all the same size

For the Kamado Joe stuff, the Classic size will fit the Vision Classic B. The Big Joe stuff is the larger 24" (or whatever) sized stuff.

I put together my setup by being patient and buying stuff when Ace Hardware has their 20% & free ship to store sales, which they seem to do quite often as well as finding stuff on ebay. Admittedly, I got lucky in getting 2 1/2 moon grill grates for $30 from a company that was liquidating their inventory, but I have still found some good deals there by being patient and knowing what the retail cost is for the items.
