Great cooler for the price. Easy to install as well. I picked this up for my son to replace his stock cooler due to the fact that his comp was overheating. The difference is night and day between them.

How does this compare to their popular Hyper 212 Evo?

I have both...the 212 Evo is way better. Part of it is due to the poor mounting system of the Hyper T4...just doesn't apply enough pressure to an Intel CPU unless you modify it.

I'd get the evo can be found for $5 more without rebate plus it's better.

Where? I've never seen it that low without rebate myself.

It was refurbished not sure if it's still in Stock for the $15 but definitely for $20 refurbished. Check ebay that's where I got mine for $16 last week. Newsegg has the refurbished. Don't worry that there refurb they only thing that goes bad are the fans and they seem to replace with originals
Just checked ebay and saw some for $20 with best offer

I have this on my i7 6700k with about a 15% overclock and it's cool and quiet. One benefit vs the 212 is that the T4 is slightly shorter - depending on case clearance that could be a big deciding factor.

Got it...makes sense that it's refurbished for the price. But I wouldn't have a problem using a refurbished cooler either, given the fans are standard 120mm and I have so many spares (and if not, they're FAR quite a few times too). And it's unlikely the fan would be bad anyways. Unlike other electronics, a "refurbished" cooler usually just means a new customer return.

Cooler master honors their rebates! I just got my 7 dollars in the mail today after after purchasing a hyper 212 Evo way back in April 😂

They're one of the slowest rebates, but they come eventually.

This T4 comes with an AMD-style mounting, single bar with locking clip on one side. It's not great for computers that move a lot or if you have to ship it somewhere. Such mounting mech is fine for smaller coolers, T4 is on a bigger side for this. Otherwise it's a fine cooler, lower clearance than Hyper 212, fits in smaller cases, it's quiet and provides adequate cooling for both FX and top Intel processors.
