Guys,

I found this deal in Groupon. Looks like a good deal for people who are first time signup to Groupon. It is a new Blender when compared to the Vitamix Blender which is Refurbished. Reviews on youtube show both mixers are at par.

Final Price= 229.99 - 40 (Use Coupon FIRST)= $189.99 + Tax - Now $169.99 after coupon (on sale until August 21st)

I'm truly amazing at how poorly designed that website is.

This is a serious question. Can someone explain to me what these things (Blendtec and Vitamix) do that my $30 Oster doesn't? I'm really not trying to be snarky. Just don't understand. I can make frozen drinks and shakes and smoothies etc in my regular old blender. Why should I spend over $200 for one of these super blenders?

Blendtec has 3.0HP peak motor vs Vitamix has 2.0HP peak motor. Blendtec is low profile so easier to store under shelfs.

Have u ever compared the texture of the finished products. I have all the blenders from the cheap LG ($30 at Wal-Mart) and up to the expensive Blendtec. U know know the difference if u know smoothie. Let me leave it at that. And if u don't need it, why sweat. That's my 10 cents.
