While the solar panel is convenient, please note that solar charging is S-L-O-W and would require several days of bright sunshine to recharge fully. But it works in a pinch to keep the power bank topped off throughout the day.

Description from Amazon:
  • Dust proof outdoor solar cell phone charger, don't worry about power while hiking, camping, and traveling. Keep charged on the go. Please keep it under 45 degree Celsius while in use.
  • 15000mAh high capacity solar power bank with a larger solar panel, which can recharge itself under direct sunshine for emergency purposes. Around 10 hours to be fully charged via AC outlet.
  • Dual USB ports allow two devices to charge simultaneously, 2A port for iPad/Tablets, 1A port for cell phones/Bluetooth. Automatic identification provide high speed charging.
  • Integrated 4LED indicators to show power status; 6LED flashlight for outdoor use, never lose you way. Charger and flashlight two in one.
  • Widely compatible: compatible with most smartphones and other 5V USB devices. Clip included in box, another option to carry.

The Chinese ones on ebay look identical, but claim mAhs of 300k for cheaper than this. Not sure if those are accurate.

Beware of the fake reviews on this product. People have received it to give an "honest" review. I'd go with a more reliable brand without the solar panel gimmick.

It gets an F on Fakespot for fake reviews. I need a solar charger but definitely not buying this one. Buyer beware...

These are so durable and perfect for emergencies. Being in the South, this solar charger may have helped during Katrina. Nonetheless, I have one now, so I am happy. By the way, I take my charger to the beach, so I can keep my phone charged at all times, becasue I love to share sunset photos on my social sites and it can drain my battery. Wink

Good option for camping or when playing sports outs to have your phone charging in the meantime

Battery chargers are great but these are IMHO not the way to go. My experience is:

1. The solar on these does not recharge the battery fast enough. It can take days of full sun.

2. The flashlight gets triggered in bags which then drains the battery.

3. Higher quality units with similar power can be purchased at the same price.

My phone is a Galaxy S5 and I have a few 10000mAh chargers which I paid $10 each. I cycle tour and backpack. One pack recharges my cell phone from ZERO 2-3 times but will keep my phone topped off for 3-5 days depending on use.

Bike touring you often have access to plugs every few days so recharging is not an issue.

Backpacking is more difficult to recharge but I can bring a backup battery for my S5 or just bring a second battery pack. The solar is simply there to give you a bit of a boost.

I have gotten a few of these in the past, they are very handy to take out with you in case your phone dies.

i have this (my friend gave it to me because he hated it) and it really is absolute trash. good luck getting a fast charge with the 2A output. i guess it charges my device, but i wouldn't buy it because of its solar capabilities. i leave mine in the car all day and it barely charges.
