Had the option for a $5.99 Pantry credit on mobile. Got Sensei Wu for about $1 after the credit. Thanks OP.

That Prime Pantry credit is fairly useless. You can only use one per transaction and it just covers shipping. Pantry doesn't have free shipping.

The "$1 credit for select digital items" is what shows for me.

Prime Pantry is more valuable to some than others. States with a higher cost of living may well have a more favorable price comparison. Also some people simply find online shopping to be much more convenient.
