The Quark-550 looks interesting, though I'm a little nervous getting it for my 980Ti & i7 build. I don't overclock or have a crazy # of HDD, so maybe the wattage concern is unwarranted. Anyone have personal experience with it?

Your absolutely fine. You won't pull more than 400 to 450 watts on a "normal" high end build like that.

no they are prepaid cards.

corsair issues debit cards can be used anywhere. I just reload my amazon gift card balance with them to make it easy.

In 4 1 on the CX430. I usually buy one when sub $20 since cheapest you can find a 80 plus bronze power supply local is $35+. If you build computers on the regular for you and/or friends/family I'd pick one up. The non-modular corsairs do seem to go on sale a lot more than the modular ones.

This CX430 goes on sale for the same price every month all year+, yet it's a popular/frontpage deal almost every time. Ok.

On "sale" or with a rebate at newegg every month? I want to buy it. Who has it for this price without the rebate hassle? Thx.

Corsair has a fairly easy and reliable rebate process. You still have to mail in the UPC and invoice, but you pre-register online and just print that out instead of filling out a form in pen. It gets to you much faster than other rebates too. Got my last 2 in about a month.

Im waiting for EVGA G2 550 on sale, but this Quark-550 is so attampting. should i go for this one or keep waiting? not in hurry, I currently have EVGA 430 but it's a really cheap PSU($9), always feel it's a bomb in my case, and im planing buy a 1060 graphic card, so deff not keep this $9PSU in my case after that.
