I almost purchased them but they didn't look very good in the photos. I don't trust Fakespot, I had a good laugh at it finding every product I looked up as C or worse. You're better off just reading the reviews yourself.

Well Fakespot isn't supposed to be a rating of the product itself, it's more an indication on how much you can trust the reviews to be genuine and not gamed (so to speak). It's not a rating of the product, it's a rating of the reviews. But I take everything with a grain of salt. Fake reviews can be pretty easy to spot; negative reviews can sometimes give you the most information; and if the reviewer sounds like an idiot... well you take that into consideration.

Of course, the issue with gamed reviews on Amazon isn't the only problem. Lately I'm appalled at how much Slickdeals has been infiltrated by fake contributors. "Buyer beware" has never been so true.

This seems like a good deal if you can use tham. Buying the chalk markers alone is typically more expensive.

I understand what the tool is for but I've looked up about 30 different products some with over 4k reviews and it's pretty consistent at giving low grade levels for authenticity. I can't use it as a quick judge as to whether something is bogus or not so it's useless to me.

You're dead on at the way things are.... this site has changed and you have to be extremely careful when you look at ratings/reviews. So many front page deals that aren't deals and great deals get little to no attention at times. The reviews are troublesome and I wish they were tagged so that they could be filtered out when reading reviews. If I could remove reviews that aren't verified purchases or had received free or at a discount it can help give you some neutral perspective. Sometimes the people who receive a product for a discount actually are the best contributors posting videos and photos where no else bothers. In other in cases they're just junk reviews that are as welcome as spam touting how amazing some POS is.

Still a good deal right? These things usually go for more...worth a shot at 6 bucks?

I just purchased these and I have been looking for great quality labels and markers. These are THE BEST chalk markers and chalkboard labels I have ever used! They are absolutely worth every penny and will make my Christmas project for gifts come alive. I love these! And for all you naysayers, you can verify my purchase on Amazon Smilie
