This is one of the best deals that I have seen on a MacBook Pro. I just purchased one to replace my 5 year-old MacBook Air.

First sale in a little while on this, if you're in a rush it's a good deal. It's just frustrating that the MacBook Pro line hasn't been updated in awhile, makes it a painful purchase with the high likelihood on an update this fall...but I guess we've been saying that for over a year now, so...¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Folks, I don't know how clear to make this, but do NOT buy one now. You will be deeply regretting it when the first major update in 4 years is announced within the next month or two. These are an outdated design and the prices will be even lower on these once the new ones come out.

$1000, with a 128 GB SSD, in 2016. And that's a deal. Nope.

Not a bad price, but it's too close to the unveiling of the first MAJOR redesign for the Pro line in years to be worth the purchase.

Horrible deal. This price is going to go down a lot when new model comes out

I got this for the same price from bestbuy back in April 2015.... Not really a deal. If you've waited this long, just wait a few more months for the new model to get this model for a cheaper price

You guys really think these will go down that much more when the new model comes out? Right. Because its only you and 1M others thinking the same thing. These will be gone before you onow it. $1000 for a retina mbp with an ssd is a deal in the world of Apple. In for 1.

Right, with Apple stuff there isn't a huge discount to clear out the old models. Yes, there is a sale but it might not be more than this. Apple seems to run inventory pretty tight in their retail chain so there isn't a lot stock to move when new models come out anyways.
AND I've always felt that any inventory apple has in their own warehouses or stores gets put in a white box and sold as refurb when the new models come out.
