Good deal/good price/good little VAC

$52 bucks at Amazon and maybe $45 shipped elsewhere so better than %50 savings

This is order online and ship to store only so B&M Ace Hardware. I have seen this Vac on sale before, don't think it's been at a better price though. It does show up from time to time- this is here now thru 8/31
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

They aren't getting a kickback? For future reference, it's incredibly annoying to see the first comment in a post be authored by the OP complaining about the lack of response.
Whew. That was a long sentence. Does what I said make sense?

I know it's tooting my own horn'n all, but how is this NOT a "Frontpage" deal ?

It's affordable to many (less than $20), it's got great utility and usability, it's widely and readily available (ACE is all over the the place & you can order it at this price without fighting or struggling or luck until the end of the month) - AND IT'S PREtTY MUCH OVER %50 OFF !!!

What's not to "Frontpage" about it ? - :-)

Well. For me. There is 1 place I can pick up and that's 30 miles away in a small town near my city. Not worth the drive. But good price.

It's cheap but apparently it's hard to find replacement filters for the device itself according to one of the reviews.

I'm not sure what type of filter this specific model employs, but most of these shop vacs have foam and/or fabric filters. You can clean most filters if you're careful, even paper/hepa filters...granted they won't work like new but it noticeably increases their operational life.

In addition most times filters on these are relatively crude filters meant to filter out large particles, as most aren't looking for ICU grade filtration in their garage, haha : )

I do appreciate the heads up on the filter thing though...more info is always best!

Here's the review I was reading from Ace's site:

The only filters that come with this vac are thin sleeve secured by a rubber band. This vacuum is not listed at the craftsman site so there is no way to confirm which filters work with this vac. Ace sells the replacement paper filters at 3 for $8 but they plug up quickly.
I don't care too much because it's only $20, but the only thing I'm worried about is the fact that particles will get into the vac making the suction less powerful. If you look on Amazon's top rated negative review, he says

The biggest deal breaker is the huge arc visible in the switch, thru an open joint, about 1/16 of an inch from my thumb. Wet or sweaty hands and there is ZAP potential... Further, the hose and entryway are too small for a piece of popped popcorn to pass, and it is not powerful enough to pick up un-popped kernels under many conditions.
I don't mind cleaning filters, I do it for the vacuum I have in my home. But it has filters that will protect the machine itself. I want good filters that protect the (already low powered suction) so that the thing will last. The hose size is a little smaller than I'd like, but not a deal breaker, just worth mentioning.

For sure...well again I appreciate you sharing. I'll definitely consider it in my decision : )

I have one and it is small and not very powerful. I had a leak in the closet (rain) and the carpet got soaked (not flooded). This little vacuum did a pretty decent job. It has a washable filter and secured with a rubber band. As for picking up dry stuff, it is not friendly at all. It gets clog quickly. I purchased this to clean the seats in my car. Hope that helps.

I have a little shop van like this and I made a quick video of the part needed to attach this to something that has a 2" exhaust port like a table saw. Link [youtube.com]

One word, useless. I had this and it was so useless that I sold it on Craigslist for $5. I had purchased it for $15 from Sears using some surprise points etc.
