I'm pretty sure the white one was posted about 4 days ago for $25. The deal was still live yesterday when I tried it.

why do so many of these chinese desklamps under different brand names all look the same? its like they come out of the same factories and rebrand them

if you are looking for something bright, this would not be it. 450 lumens is not very bright.

I have the lampat version which is basically the same. Nice light for night time/desk use but not the brightest. It does have a 60 min timer which I like. I also bought the white one posted the other day, it has a better interface where you put finger on touch button and scroll to dim or brighten. Also it twists, to keep light away from your eyes which this one doesnt have. Overall I like both and would recommend them.

I've also had really good experience with TaoTronics lights. own a couple and use them regularly. pretty sleek design and work great. somewhat pricey at full fare, but when on sale they're a decent value

I bought this last deal. It's a pretty dope lamp. Wish the black was on sale back then.

I've got something similar to one of these... the capacitive touch buttons really piss me off.

these lamps are a huge rip off if you don't care for the aesthetic appeal. I went to ikea and got one of their cheap clamp lamps for $6, then ordered a 5000k LED bulb (adjustable if you desire) and easily surpassed the light output i was getting from this crappy lamp.

You have to realize that conventional lamps using CFLs are omnidirectional. Total lumen output of the cfl regardless of whether or not it is utilized/reflected is what becomes the manufacturer's claimed output. The LEDs used in these lamps put off light in a very specific direction. So it is more about using less light more efficiently than it is just about the lumens.

Think you are referring to the deal [http://slickdeals.net/f/8985247-taotronics-led-desk-lamp-5-modes-25-fsss?src=SiteSearch].Thats a different model (410 lumens). This is the 530 lumens model. I passed that deal as the brightness was low and was waiting for a deal on this 530 lumen model.

I have the 410 lunens lamp and it is plenty bright. I use about 30-40 percent of its brightness capacity on average
