There is a lag to speak or view when the button is pressed but you get used to that.

Noticed a lot of reviews on Amazon are fake. Look at the usernames for some of them. I would avoid this product even if was free.

I'd spend the extra money and buy a ring doorbell. I bought the pro off eBay at significant discount and it's an amazing product

We have the non-pro version of ring. It works fairly well with some caveats. There is a delay before it starts recording when detecting motion (we have ours hardwired). So a lot of times we may just see the back of the person. It appears the ring doorbell "sleeps" in a low power state which doesnt make sense when its hardwired. I would rather have it always on and prerecord a few seconds before motion is detected for each event. I bought it from Costco so if Ring cannot fix this problem its going back.

Do you have a delay with the pro version?

I have a Ring that isn't upgraded to pro cloud, but it's wireless, and I have the same issue with a delay before recording. I don't think it matters whether it's hard wired or not, but I was aware of this before I bought, as it's been reported by most users.

Yeah I was aware of it as well, but its surprising that Ring cant figure it out. That delay in recording defeats the purpose of a video doorbell. Most people install this to catch the thief that knocks on the door to see if anyone is at home before breaking in. Once the thief sees the doorbell they will turn their back (in most cases, some are stupid like in the youtube videos).
