The "Body Dimensions" listed are exactly regulation carry-on size. The "Overall Dimensions" are too big (including the wheels and handle).

However, these are standard dimensions for the 20" bags and in practice usually never an issue.

My 20" Swissgear carry on is a couple inches too big in all three dimensions and I've never had a problem.

Reviews on amazon seem that the quality of this one could be an issue.

I purchased one a while back for about $85 total and i travel about once a week for work and 90% of the time i will be able to put it on overhead. The few times it doesn't its usually cause i'm on a very small plane and i something else is already in there. Otherwise if the overhead was empty to begin with it does fit. slight push but it fits. I'm ordering a second one for my wife. good deal imo.

This case, according to Samsonite's own specification is 23x14x10 inches.

Note that different airlines have different carry-on sizes....

For the USA big 3 (Delta, American, United), the limit is 22x14x9 inches. They have a sizer box to check your luggage at the check-in counter and gate. They seem to be using it more and more often. The good news is that most of these sizers are actually larger than 22x14x9. Google for discussion about individual airport/airlines. As a previous poster say, this size will be accepted 99.9% of the time flying in USA.

Southwest's limits are significantly higher... (I'm too lazy to google it... I don't fly SW).

Some European and maybe some Asian airlines have slightly smaller height limit (21"). But the bigger problem with those airlines is the weight limit. Many limit 10Lbs! But enforcement is YMMV...

IMO, this is not a terribly hot deal unless you really like this particular style. Samsonite is no longer a premium brand. Their cheaper line is no better than the American Tourist or fake-swiss-army brand sold at Target and Walmart.

You can get a 20" hardshell spinner at TJMaxx and Marshall any day of the week for $75 or even cheaper, but maybe not the exact same design as this one.

FYI American Airlines in in heavy crack down mode for carry ons that are too big.
